Susan Dallas Hattan has been an attorney for over 21 years and is licensed to practice law in California and Colorado.
Estate Planning: Susan Dallas Hattan is an attorney specializing in estate planning, with a mission to help families achieve financial independence and protection. She strives to provide certainty, clarity, and peace of mind while eliminating doubt about her clients’ futures.
Tax: Since its inception in 2013, Susan has been actively involved with the Talega Residents for Fair Taxation citizen’s advocacy group and provided her expertise to ensure the fair and legal taxation of Talega citizens with regard to Mello-Roos special taxes. In 2014, this group successfully advocated and convinced the CUSD Board of Trustees to return over-collected funds to the taxpayers and reduce Mello-Roos taxes for all Talega homeowners. This will save Talega taxpayers from being overtaxed by nearly $60M over the life of our bonds. Susan continues to watch over these issues and also served on the Revenue and Tax Advisory Committee for Assemblyman Bill Brough.
Elder Law: Susan volunteers her time speaking to seniors in the community through the Educating Seniors Project, sponsored by the Trusts and Estates Section of the California State Bar, which informs seniors, their families, and the community about laws and resources for protection against elder financial abuse.
